It exists because it needs to. If it didn't need to, it wouldn't. Someday it might not need to exist. If that day comes, it will be due to a better music outlet or death or some other reason. But for whatever reason, it is best to either enjoy the methods of today or provoke a change. Regret would be a bitter last thought, no?
